The opening piece and title track on this album of music by Mark-Anthony Turnage is “Your Rockaby” a feature for soprano saxophone and orchestra; rhapsodic, confrontational and rhythmic, it's a very fine piece of contemporary music – it's the piece I bought the album for, played here by Martin Robinson (for whom it was written) accompanied by the BBC Symphony 5/5(2).

The arrangement used for Blood on the Floor is an abridged, scaled-down version of the concerto, with several full sections removed from the original version and a total duration of around 15 minutes.
